Biker Down
Given it was another wet Sunday morning, what better way to use the time positively than attend a Biker Down course run by the LFB in our area.
So it was, that Martin, Charles, Jude and I went through a process of learning, revision and updating our practical skills if we should ever be involved in attending an accident.
We chose to go to West Norwood Fire Station, but courses are run all over the country
Because it was run by people who had a wealth of experience in attending such scenes, but who were also keen bikers, the discussion was lively, relevant and many myths were bust.
These included whether/when to remove a helmet from a rider involved in an accident
The session was serious but not solemn - there was still plenty of time to see the lighter side as these pix show
Time to get on board
Change of driver as Martin joins us
We didn't actually arrive on this Fire Engine!
Fully crewed now - by the HOWL Brigade
If you haven't yet been on such a course it's certainly well worth considering.
