The chopsticks were out on Saturday 2nd March as The Year of the Dragon was celebrated by 25 members of the West London Branch.
Previous ‘Dragon’ years include 1952, 1964,1976, 1988, 2000 and 2012.
Some well-known ‘Dragon’ people include John Lennon, Bruce Lee…..and Vladimir Putin
We find this an ever-popular social gathering once the Chinese New Year has got underway.
Last year we actually had to turn people away as the restaurant had no more space. So this time we moved to a more spacious and central location-
The Zen Garden in Leatherhead.
A bumper turnout of 25 members and partners enjoyed an evening of fun, chat and good food in comfortable surroundings. We liaised closely with Ivan, the manager ensuring that the restaurant coped extremely well.
The evening was spiced up by Charles' picture quiz.
Well done to Ian and Jo for winning that quiz.
And then Charles delighted everyone with a novel game - a frenetic kind of 'Pass the Parcel on Steroids' which had other diners in the restaurant looking on with laughter.
