Bedruthan Steps & Padstow
Saturday 20th May 2023.
The sun shone all day and 14 of us on 12 bikes had a day out in Padstow and places nearby. Padstow gives VIP parking for motorbikes, right beside the harbour. It was one of the shortest planned routes, but given we had all had a long day in the saddle the day before, it was just what the "doctor ordered".
On the way back the majority had lunch at Bedruthan Steps. A spectacular beach which is part of the National Trust. It is a short walk from the car park down to several viewing areas. There is currently no access to the beach as there was a rock fall there around 4 years ago. As well as the walk and view, Charles was able to turn his lens on the local birdlife and captured a stunning shot of a Stonechat.
Whilst at Padstow harbour we were able to take a group photo whilst the camera was on a tripod. Just as we finished our photo shoot, a young boy approached Dan's Pan and with just a little persuasion he climbed aboard and looked a natural as he reached for the bars.
