Cyder report by Tony Surridge 

Whilst in Cornwall, it seemed silly not to check out some of the local businesses and their products.

So, on the Sunday, Zoe drove Dan and myself the short distance to Healey's Cornish Cyder farm, the home of ‘Rattler’ and other cyders.

There we found a fantastic visitors centre, comprising of a museum, a fine collection of vintage Healey sports cars, a farmyard (complete with animals) restaurants, shop and a tasting area!

Dan and I decided we needed to taste the products, and ended up having sampled all the cyders, soft drinks and a couple of spirits (thanks to Zoe for being the designated driver).

On Tuesday, the three of us decided to check out ‘The Bearded Brewery’.

Similar products, but a very different venue, only comprising of a bar area, outside seating  and plenty of parking – they have bike nights, and allow overnight camping!
